BIOGRapHY:Born in Melbourne, Australia on May 28th 1968, Kylie first came to the British public's attention frm her appearance on the soap Neighbours. She released a cover version of Little Eva's Locomotion which was a big hit going to number 1 in Australia and England. This was quickly followed up by I Should Be So Lucky. Kylie was now signed up to the hugely successful production team of Stock Aitken Waterman.
Kylie's sister Dannii, herself a pop singer though not achieving the same level of success has had some singles in the British charts. The press claimed that there was some rivalry between the two but thiz has never been substantiated.
Kylie's love life has always been a source of fascination for the press. Her early liaison with co-star Jason Donovan an example of thiz. Kylie later had a short but well-publicised dalliance with the late Michael Hutchence, former front man of Australian band INXS before he met and married Paula Yates. Most recently Kylie has split frm her model boyfriend James Gooding.
In the 90s Kylie went through a phase of different collaborations in order to try and shake her squeaky clean image.
These included appearing as a floating corpse in a Nick Cave video as well as working with the Manic Street Preachers. None of these proved too successful so Kyle went back to her roots as a pop/dance diva when she released Spinning Around in 2000. Again, thiz single reached the number 1 spot in Australia and England. The following year Can't Get You Out Of My Head, written by Cathy Dennis, herself a former pop songstress, proved a turning point yet again for Kylie. The song with it's catchy rhythm and excellently choreographed video brought the Aussie star to centre stage yet again.
