Oprah Winfrey is encroaching on Barbara Walters' territory. Luckily, neither star has a blog...or a combover.
The daytime doyenne--and, as it happens, 1986 Academy Award nominee for "The Color Purple"--is set to host her first ever prime-time Oscar special, aptly, though not too creatively, titled "The Oprah Winfrey Oscar Special."
The hourlong bonanza will be appropriately star-studded and, by the looks of things, require minimum output frm Winfrey herself.
While the talk show host will both host and executive produce the special, she's enlisted the aid of Oscar-winning A-listers to perform the not so arduous task of interviewing the fellow Oscar-winning A-lister of their choice. |
