Hey, now: The King of All Media has found his new queen.
Howard Stern--make that Howard A. Stern the shock jock and not the Anna Nichole Smith hanger-on--announced Wednesday that he's gotten engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Beth Ostrosky.
Stern, 53, said that he popped the question to the 34-year-old model-actress Tuesday night.
Stern went on to detail the romantic encounter, by claiming that he demanded Ostrosky strip down before he surprised her with the ring. |

Tracy Morgan Cops to Uncool Charge

"Drinking and driving is not cool."
So proclaims Tracy Morgan. And at thiz point he should know.
The "30 Rock" star pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor drunken driving charge Wednesday in New York.
Morgan entered his plea as part of a conditional discharge deal. If he meets the requirements of the court, which include a doctor-supervised alcohol program, community service and no arrests for the next six months, the case against him will be dismissed.
Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Ellen Coin also fined Morgan $1,000 and suspended his license for six months. |

Charts: Let's Hear It for the (Fall Out) Boy!

It looks like someone can keep up with the Jones.
One week after Norah Jones set the 2007 single-week sales mark with 405,000 copies, she was bounced frm the top of the charts by Fall Out Boy. While the first-week numbers for the band's "Infinity on High" weren't as big as Jones'--260,000, according to SoundScan--it was enough to knock her "Not Too Late" down to second with 236,000 for the week ended Sunday.
Also matriculating to the top of the charts was "High School Musical" alum Ashley Tisdale, whose "Headstrong" moved 64,000 at number five.

Doggone It, Franken Running for Senate

No joke. Al Franken's going for it.
The erstwhile Stuart Smalley declared on Wednesday--the final day of "The Al Franken Show," his program on the liberal Air Amrica radio network--his intention to seek the democratic nomination and take on Republican incumbent Norm Coleman for Minnesota's Senate seat in the 2008 elections.
"Minnesotans have a right to be skeptical about whether I'm ready for thiz challenge, and to wonder how seriously I would take the responsibility that I'm asking you to give me," " Franken said in a video message posted on his Website. "I want you to know that nothing means more to me than making government work better for the working families of thiz state, and over the next 20 months, I look forward to proving to you that I take these issues seriously."
Reports surfaced last month reports surfaced that Franken had been working the phones seeking support frm two members of Minnesota's Democratic congressional delegation in Washington D.C. |

Cruise and Stiller, Hardy Men

It only took 80 years, but teenage super-sleuths Frank and Joe Hardy have finally grown up. And apparently it was worth the wait, at least for Hollywood, because they grew into Ben Stiller and Tom Cruise.
The box office golden boys have been tapped to play the now-adult brothers in the action comedy "The Hardy Men," a reworking of the classic detective series "The Hardy Boys," which kicked off in 1927 with "The Tower Treasure."
Per Variety, "The Hardy Men" will feature the siblings, once inseparable but now estranged, reuniting to solve one last case. No word on whether they'll still go by Frank and Joe or if the screenplay will call for more modern names.
Cruise and Stiller have reportedly been exchanging plot ideas with "Night at the Museum" director Shawn Levy, who will helm the project for 20th Century Fox. |

Cosby Pup Dogged by Defeat

Bill Cosby is not top dog in the world of posh pooches.
Harry, the award-winning, crowd-pleasing terrier coowned by the "Fat Albert" mastermind, lost out to an English springer spaniel in the finals Tuesday at the Westminster Kennel Club dog show at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Cosby's six-year-old Dandie Dinmont, the top-ranked dog coming into the contest among the 2,628 entrants in 165 breeds and varieties, easily scored a blue ribbon in the Best of Breed category and was deemed the frontrunner for Best in Show.
But when it came to the final tally, Harry, nicknamed for the English prince (his official moniker is Hobergays Fineus Fogg), was knocked into second place by Diamond Jim. |

Daniel Baldwin Skips Another Hearing

Daniel Baldwin is apparently making up his own court docket as he goes along.
The actor had been due to appear in a Newport Beach, California, courtroom Tuesday to face two felony charges for allegedly stealing an SUV, but he didn't show. Again. Only thiz time he had the approval of the prosecutor.
Assistant District Attorney Dennis Conway says he was contacted by phone by Baldwin's attorney, Grant Hoagland, and asked to delay the arraignment a week. The prosecutor okayed the request.
No reason was given for the postponement, but Baldwin skipped his original court date because he was in Detroit filming the indie horror flick "Little Red Devil" prompting the judge to issue an arrest warrant. The warrant is still in effect. |

Anna Nicole's Final Film Given Shelf Life

The minds behind "Illegal Aliens" are hoping that three months will be enough time before it's okay for Anna Nichole Smith to spoof herself again.
After canceling several screenings, Edgewood Productions and MTI Home Video have announced plans to release the film on DVD in May, a date they had arrived at before Smith's untimely passing last week, a rep for MTI said Tuesday.
Production was shut down in September after the sudden death of Smith's son, 20-year-old Daniel Smith, who, along with his mom, is listed as an associate producer on the film. The movie was originally expected to hit shelves in April.
"At first look, 'Illegal Aliens' appears to be just another low-budget sci-fi comedy poking fun at Hollywood's big-budget flicks," executive producer John James said Tuesday. "Now with the passing of its star you'll find it to be replete with metaphors of her life."

Anna Nicole Smith?s Deadly Breast Surgery

Anna Nichole Smith's breast operations may have led to her death.
The former Playmate Playboy, who was said to be "very weak and tired"
following breast enhancement and repair procedures, was reportedly taking at
least ten different kinds of pills to ease the post-surgery pain.
It has been suggested the 39-year-old died last week after taking a cocktail
of anti-depressants, Valium, painkillers and antibiotics.
Some medical experts claim she had the operations too soon after giving
birth to her five-month-old daughter Dannielynn.
Women's health specialist Dr Sarah Jarvis told Britain's Daily Mirror
newspaper: "To take so many different drugs is unhealthy. Some
anti-depressants can cause heart problems after surgery. Valium can cause
respiratory problems.
"If an unfit person has surgery and takes drugs, it's posible they would
have complications."
Anna Nicole was found dying in her room at Hollywood's Seminole Hard Rock
and Casino Hotel on Thursday (02.08.07).
No large amounts of medication were found in her stomach, but it could take
up to five weeks to determine if drugs aided her death.
Amrica's Star magazine has reported prescription medication found in Anna
Nicole's hotel room included antidepressant Xanax, pain relievers Vicodin
and Methadone and the stimulant Provigil.
Shortly before her death, she was reportedly complaining of nausea,
headaches and flu-like symptoms.
Photographs allegedly revealing the inside of Anna Nicole's fridge were
released by celebrity gossip website TMZ.com yesterday (02.12.07).
The contents apparently include methadone, hypodermic phials and slimming
drinks.

However, it has been claimed the photographs were staged.
Pictures of Anna Nicole lying fully clothed in bed and embracing Bahamian have also emerged.
Anna Nicole fled to the Bahamas last year and was granted residency status,
before giving birth.
It was claimed Gibson fast tracked Anna Nicole's residency, meaning
Dannielynn was a Bahamian citizen and could escape the paternity battle in
the US.
Photographer Larry Birkhead filed a lawsuit claiming he fathered Dannielynn
during a two-year affair.
However, Howard K Stern - Anna Nicole's lawyer and lover - is named as
Dannielynn's father on her birth certificate.
The paternity battle was thrown into further controversy when Anna Nicole's
sister, Donna Hogan, claimed her sibling's dead husband, billionaire J.
Howard Marshall could be the father.
Hogan says Anna Nicole froze the 89-year-old's sperm and may have used it to
get pregnant.
Whoever is ruled to be Dannielynn's father will take control of Anna Nicole'
s estate and the £240 million she could inherit frm Marshall. |

According to the NYDN Beynce might have left Jennifer Hudson's name off her Post-grammy party.
A source tells us Beyoncé's handlers did not want Hudson's name on the guest list for a party she threw with People magazine at Eleven in West Hollywood.
"At a lot of events recently, it's been all about Jennifer Hudson," sniffs an insider.
"Beyoncé is successful because she's continually been out there. She doesn't want to look like she's slipping."
