 British actor Patrick Stewart was so desperate to perfect his pronunciation when he took to the stage he dedicated much of his youth learning "how to speak". The X-Men star admits he fought hard to lose his Yorkshire, North East England, accent, and spent entire outings intensively training himself to speak in more eloquent tones. He says, "I led thiz double life for a number of years. I had a wonderful teacher. I met her as a result of a drama course.”

Carmen Electra Gets a Job

Carmen Electra is to star in a sexy show on the Las Vegas strip, it has been
reported.
The model-and-actress will star in a magic and variety show with Dutch
magician Hans Klok at the new Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino frm May
12.
A source told Us Weekly magazine: "Carmen will sing and dance in the show.
She will be doing what she loves to do most."
Representatives for the former 'Baywatch' star and Planet Hollywood have so
far refused to comment.
Meanwhile, Carmen, 34, has confessed she doesn't like signing nude pictures
of herself.
The 'Scary Movie' star happily autographed pictures for fans as she left
Hollywood restaurant Mr Chow on Monday night (02.12.07) but stopped signing
when presented with a naked photograph of herself.
Carmen - who has appeared nude in the pages of Playboy magazine - said: "I
feel weird signing nude!"

Scarlett Johansson Wins Harvard Hasty Pudding Award

Scarlett Jhonson happily took part in an elaborate prize-giving ceremony
yesterday (02.15.07) after being crowned the Harvard Hasty Pudding woman of
the year.
The 22-year-old actress was driven through Cambridge, Massachusetts, in the
back of a silver Bentley convertible, followed by Harvard University
students dressed in drag.
The prestigious honor is given by student drama group Hasty Pudding
Theatricals to performers who have made a "lasting and impressive
contribution to the world of entertainment".
Following her parade, the blonde star participated in a mock exam and was
then guest of honour at a feast in Harvard's Agassiz Theatre, where she
received the famous 'Pudding Pot'.
The theatre was adorned with a blown-up picture of Scarlett's naked Vanity
Fair cover.
She was playfully subjected to a series of light-hearted jibes about her
age, her curvaceous figure and her habit of starring alongside older men.
On collecting her award, Scarlett said: "Thank you so much for thiz fabulous
golden pot. It's been such a wonderful day. This is the closest I'll ever
get to a Harvard degree for sure.
"It's a real honor and I can't wait until later tonight when we party."
Ben Stiller is to be crowned Harvard Hasty Pudding man of the year on
February 23.
Hasty Pudding Theatricals is the oldest undergraduate drama group in the US
and the award is considered a great honor.
Last year's winners were Halle Berry and Richard Gere. |

 Australian actress Toni Collette has tipped BAFTA winner Dame Helen Mirren for Oscar glory at the 2007 Academy Awards later thiz month. Mirren is the favorite to win the Best Actress honor for her portrayal of British monarch Elizabeth II in The Queen at thiz year's ceremony, after taking home the same accolade at the BAFTAs in London last week.

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony Are Really into Scientology

As recently as December, Lopez and Anthony were taking professional business meetings at Scientology's Celebrity Center in Hollywood.
Anthony is said to have taken the "purification" course, a hopped-up sauna that supposedly "cures" all ills. Lopez may have invested in the IRS-sanctioned religion thanks to infertility issues and difficulties in the couple's marriage.
What's very clear is that Lopez and Anthony's sudden friendship with chief celebrity Scientologist Tom Cruise is no accident. Other than belonging to the expensive pay-as-you-go religion, Cruise and the Lopez-Anthonys would have nothing in common.
Lopez and Anthony entered Scientology with the help of Angelo Pagan, the husband of "King of Queens" actress Leah Remini. Both Pagan and Remini ? mostly the former ? have taken dozens of pricey courses in L. Ron Hubbard's creation.

Rapper Foxy Brown was arrested in Florida yesterday for battery and obstruction of justice. TMZ has obtained the rapper's mugshot taken Thursday.
Foxy, whose real name is Inga Marchand, was booked by Pembroke Pines Police Department after a disturbance at a beauty supply shop.
According to the Broward constituency Sheriff's Office, Foxy was held on $1,500 bail for the two offenses. Ms. Brown was sentenced in New York last October to three years probation and anger management classes for assaulting two nail technicians. Brown was ordered to stay away frm the manicurists for the next five years.
Nice green eyeshadow - looks pretty fresh.
